Non-profit organizations are spending billions upon billions of dollars each year on fees billed by service-providers. While expenditures for services like marketing and design grow each year, funding declines. Traditional means of philanthropy alone can no longer take the only supportive seat at the table.

On December 2, Rockefeller Foundation announced Pittsburgh is among the second cohort of cities around the world that will receive financial support and outside expertise as part of the 100 Resilient Cities network.

Preliminary estimates suggest that the third annual #GivingTuesday effort on December 2 resulted in online donations of some $34.9 million plus additional offline contributions totaling $10.8 million.
