This session date has been moved to 3/23/23 at 2pm and will now be held virtually.

This spring begins the trial of the accused shooter from the October 2018 attack that shook our community. These events are likely to bring national media attention, reopen personal wounds, and spark Pittsburgh-wide debate. Maggie Feinstein, Director of the 10.27 Healing Partnership, will share what to expect, how her organization and others are preparing the community to respond, and how funders can play a role in productive community dialog and communal healing.

The 10.27 Healing Partnership provides support, connection, and opportunities for reflection for individuals and their loved ones impacted by the October 2018 attack and others who experience hate-induced trauma. Maggie Feinstein is a master’s level professional counselor with a distinguished career in the field of integrated mental health.

This will be a virtual meeting. Connection details will be sent upon registration.

The Jewish Funders Learning Network is an informal network of philanthropists and grantmaking professionals in Pittsburgh who fund Jewish causes. Modeled after other GWP funder learning networks, and run in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, the purpose of this network is to create a space where:

  • People who think about grantmaking in the Jewish space can meet each other
  • Relationships are formed that carry beyond network activities
  • Funders have somewhere to go to safely and productively raise and discuss questions and concerns with their peers
  • Funders with common interests and approaches can form coalitions to address common causes
