Erie Gives Day Sets New Fundraising Record

Wednesday, August 15, 2018

Erie Gives began in 2011 in honor of The Erie Community Foundation’s 75th Anniversary. Some 7,917 donors contributed $4.45 million during the 12-hour fundraiser on August 14, breaking last year’s mark of $4.42 million. The figure includes a $300,000 corporate match that will be spread out to all 386 participating nonprofits.  This is Erie's single biggest day of giving when a portion of the prorated match pool will be added to each donation made to nonprofit(s) when donated through this website. This is the 8th year that the Erie Community Foundation has provided a platform for local non-profits to raise awareness and money for their organizations.  Last year, hundreds of non-profits signed up to take part in this one-day event.
