Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania is proud to partner with Economic Opportunity Funders to offer a livestream of their Annual Budget and Tax Briefings for GWP members. This session provides funders and philanthropic advisors across the U.S. with a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss why federal and state budget and tax work matters to national, state and local philanthropy. During this briefing, participants will learn about and discuss pressing policy developments, key battles and opportunities at the federal and state level, and emerging policy, communications and organizing strategies to advance worker justice, social protections and an economy that works for all.
During the State Budget and Tax Outlook, participants will learn about recent trends, key battles and opportunities, and what’s at stake and in play in 2023. Panelists will also share lessons learned from recent revenue campaign wins in Massachusetts and New Mexico.
