Join local funders investing in food systems for an informal discussion over lunch. This session will provide an opportunity for participants to share about their current projects and initiatives as well as funding priorities in the coming years.
We will also be joined by Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems Funders (SAFSF) staff member, Renee Brooks Catacalos. In addition to sharing about SAFSF’s June 2020 Forum in Kansas City, Renee will describe how SAFSF is mobilizing funders around the current and next Farm Bills, as well as other agriculture and climate change-related legislation at the federal and state levels. She will also provide an overview of their new funder cohorts working specifically on impact investing in sustainable agriculture and food systems, and on getting more philanthropic resources to Indian Country.
