#GWP@30

On November 16, GWP celebrated its 30th annual meeting, the largest in its history with 80+ registrations.   GWP current members were joined with a number of past members at the East End Cooperative Ministry for a look at philanthropy yesterday, today and tomorrow.  The annual meeting included a summary of the year's programming and financial details and electing our new board members.

The business meeting was followed by a thought-provoking presentation on assessing for continuous improvement from speaker David Grant, author of The Social Profit Handbook.   For those who weren't able to attend the annual meeting, members can view David's presentation thanks to Electric Lime Studios, using the Annual Meeting resources link below.
 
David will be coming back to join us on December 10 to facilitate a discussion of survey responses from "Defining Excellence in Philanthropy." The survey has been re-opened and is available until November 20 - if you haven't completed this anonymous survey, please visit this link to do so now.  Join us for the December 10 program, Excellence in Philanthropy: If You Can Describe It, You Can Measure It, to hear more from David and examine the results from the survey.

 

 

GWP members celebrated and toasted founding directors, former presidents and past board members. Some past members who were able to join us include:

We displayed a timeline of GWP through the years for all those in attendance to view and reminisce. Thanks to a number of black and white photos in the GWP archive, we were able to show a scrapbook of previous GWP events and annual meetings.  Many people at the meeting were in some of those photos from 20-30 years ago!
