As of July 1st, United Ways serving Allegheny, Westmoreland, Fayette, and southern Armstrong Counties merged to become United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Building on previous collaborations, such as PA 2-1-1 Southwest, the merger positions the new organization for growth in all the participating counties, as well as combining experience and data for greater community impact. Local volunteers will continue to guide grantmaking in each county, and local dollars raised will benefit their respective communities.
