In a recent opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal, Napster co-founder and billionaire Sean Parker outlined how young tech moguls are re-envisioning philanthropy – a sector which he characterizes as “a strange and alien world made up of largely antiquated institutions." Parker urges the “hacker elite” to spend their resources early in their lives; keep their philanthropic institutions nimble; and focus on addressing “hackable problems” whose solutions may consist of a "unique insight or a novel approach."
