A thoughtful blog post from The Conference Board captures the dilemma of supporting arts and cultural organizations.  In an increasingly data-driven giving environment, how does a performing or visual arts organization make the case for its impact?  The author issues two challenges: one to cultural organizations to make their case for the social impact of creative work, and another to corporate grantmakers to recognize that just because something cannot be easily measured does not mean it has no impact.
