The Appalachia Partnership Institute will invest in workforce development and science, technology, engineering and math education in 27 counties in the tri-state region. It is a project of Chevron (NYSE: CVX), Allegheny Conference on Community Development, the RAND Corporation and the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation. Chevron’s $20 million commitment will build on its existing partnerships for K-12 science, technology and math (STEM) programs in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and now Ohio.
