GWP is sharing philanthropic resources and relief efforts that are helping with the short- and longer-term issues in response to the humanitarian crisis in Israel and Gaza.
Relief Funds
- Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh launched a relief fund to help rebuild damaged infrastructure, and address the unprecedent levels of trauma caused by this horrific attack. Learn more.
- Jewish Funders Network (JFN) has compiled a list of trusted agencies and nonprofits supported by its members in Israel and the U.S. JFN is also sharing guidance for funders to help.
- The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee’s emergency response fund is providing support for seniors, people with disabilities, children and families at risk in Israel.
- All donations to the Center for Arab American Philanthropy’s Disaster Relief Fund will be granted to the United Palestinian Appeal (UPA). UPA is on the ground in Gaza and the West Bank, providing medical supplies to hospitals, deploying a mobile wound-care and emergency team and distributing hygiene kits, food and water.
- Donations to United Hatzalah of Israel’s Emergency Campaign for Emergency Equipment are helping to support critical equipment for 1,000 United Hatzalah volunteer medics on the front line.
