The Jefferson Regional Foundation partnered with Fourth Economy Consulting, The University of Pittsburgh Center for Social and Urban Research (UCSUR) and the Western PA Regional Data Center to develop an analysis of the Jefferson Regional Foundation service area. Our Changing Communities: A Review of Data Trends in the Jefferson Regional Service Area, the analysis focuses on changing demographics, economic mobility, and community health. The Foundation team is pleased to release thirty-nine Community Snapshots as part of the project. The snapshots comprise twenty-six municipalities, twelve school districts, and one snapshot detailing the full Jefferson service area. They feature data compiled from the latest 2020 US Census and American Community Survey as well as Pennsylvania 2-1-1 Southwest Service Requests, ACCESS Transportation Services, Allegheny County Department of Human Services Usage, Partner 4 Work, and LIHEAP. This service data helps to tell a story of community needs and services accessed in the South Hills and Mon Valley.
