Lower Level Conference Center
Join GWP for the final update this year on the plans for the 2020 U.S. Census in Allegheny County, and what opportunities there may still be for private philanthropy to help promote an accurate count.
During the briefing, participants can expect to receive information on the activities of the county-city Complete Count Committee (CCC) and efforts underway to prepare the region for the 2020 Census. Among other discussion points, Andrea Stanford, Jessica Mooney, and Feyisola Akintola, who are leading census efforts for Allegheny County and the city of Pittsburgh, will share an update on the county-city Complete Count Committee framework, including a high-level overview of the types of outreach and engagement strategies that are being developed – and what resources are still needed – to ensure a complete and accurate count.
GWP members will be invited to discuss what their organizations might do or may already be doing to address the challenges of ensuring that hard-to-count populations are reached. Coffee and light breakfast refreshments will be served.
