Your Company is Socially Engaged…But Do Your Employees Even Know?

According to Gallup’s October 2013 State of the Global Workplace report, actively disengaged employees outnumber their engaged colleagues nearly two-to-one.  That’s a lot of room for improvement among your company’s most important ambassadors: its employees.  A recent blog post at Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship argues that aligning CSR initiatives with corporate strategy can help overcome this engagement gap, as long as employees understand and participate in them.  As the author notes, “Employees feel more engaged and connected due to using their specific skill set in an altruistic setting, and companies reap the rewards of an enhanced public reputation and employees who are more excited to work for them.”
