In a blog post for The Conference Board, Alice Korngold reflects on why a number of leading businesses responded emphatically to events in Charlottesville – including contributions to Southern Poverty Law Center and Anti-Defamation League as well as publicly opposing a Texas law that would have limited transgender Americans’ access to restrooms.  “Companies are learning how to mitigate risks, reduce costs, and grow value by finding innovative solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges. Taking a stand for civil and human rights, and fighting hate, is part of the deal,” she writes.
