The Washington County Community Foundation set a new record during their WCCF Gives event with over $713,000 in donations. This is their annual community-wide day of giving, which was held September 12. Human service organizations received the largest percentage of the total amount contributed at 43 percent. The City Mission received the highest amount of all the human service organizations, as well as all charities, with $121,000. Coming in second as a group were arts and humanities organizations, which received 18 percent of the total. Charities will receive one check from the community foundation for the total of their contributions and the appropriate portion of the bonus pool, along with a list of contributors.
