The Value of Volunteering

Some 62 million American volunteered their time to a nonprofit in 2014.   Independent Sector annually calculates a national estimate of the value of that time, and nationally the estimate is now $23.07 per hour. In Pennsylvania, the hourly value is $22.63 – a 3.1 percent increase over the previous year.  See an interactive map, state by state, at Independent Sector’s State Values of Volunteer Time.
