As U.S. Charitable Contributions Grow, Corporate Philanthropy Slips

According to the most recent Giving USA Foundation report, U. S. charitable contributions grew overall by 4.4 percent in 2013.  Corporate giving, however, moved in the opposite direction, falling nearly 2 percent.  No nonprofit can fulfill its mission without financial resources, and this blog post in Forbes argues that businesses “need to demonstrate a complete level of generosity toward nonprofits if they want to be perceived as good corporate citizens and socially conscious partners.”   .
