Wednesday, May 28, 2014

Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship (BCCCC) has released an update of its 2010 report on the environmental, social and governance dimensions of business – i.e.corporate citizenship. The research highlights are based on 231 companies’ responses to a survey in fall 2013. Among the findings: corporate citizenship is now being led by an executive within one level of the CEO at close to one-third of surveyed companies. Respondents reported increases in dedicated funding for corporate citizenship (exclusive of corporate philanthropy). Finally, more than 70 percent of those surveyed named reputation enhancement as among their top three business goals for their corporate citizenship programs.
