Business leaders and health advocates joined forces as part of the Health Means Business (HMB) campaign, a two-year effort housed at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Corporate Citizenship Center. Businesses report some $226 million in productivity losses each year due to employees’ illnesses or absence – at the same time as the U.S. spends the highest percentage of its GDP on health care of all the world’s developed nations.
