Google’s philanthropic arm, Google.org, has launched its first Google AI Impact Challenge for nonprofits and social enterprises. It consisted of an open call to organizations around the world to submit their ideas for how they could use AI to help address societal challenges. Out of 2,600 applications, Google.org chose 20 projects to receive mentoring from Google AI experts; credit and consulting from Google Cloud; and participation in a new accelerator program.
