The Pittsburgh Foundation Launches New Grant-Making Program

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

The Pittsburgh Foundations is launching a new grant-making program for small nonprofits with budgets less than $600,000 called Small and Mighty.  The program offers a streamlined grant-seeking process designed with input from small nonprofits and their staffs.

This effort to reach out to and support community-based nonprofits is part of the Foundation's new 100 Percent Pittsburgh organizing principle, which seeks to ensure that the 30 percent of Pittsburgh’s people who live at or near the federal poverty line have new access opportunities to participate in the region’s revitalized economy.

The application will be available through The Pittsburgh Foundation's online grant portal beginning Sept. 15, 2016. In order to access the online application, eligible nonprofits must attend an information session. Please email smallandmighty@pghfdn.org for details on the sessions and with any questions about the program.
