In an example of public-private collaboration, Allegheny County officials turned to The Pittsburgh Foundation and POISE Foundation to quickly distribute $1.62 million in CARES Act funding. A joint committee of the two foundations reviewed and recommended rapid relief grants to meet pandemic needs in hardest-hit communities.
