Cone Communications, a leading PR firm, just published a new report focused on employee engagement. While many employees favor conventional service opportunities like company-wide days of service (67 percent), more than half were interested in alternatives like micro-volunteerism (63 percent) and paid service leave (61 percent). Strikingly, more men than women say they are willing to commit to volunteering through paid service leave (67 percent men vs. 56 percent women), after-hours service opportunities (60 vs. 55 percent) or service trips (59 vs. 48 percent).
