Median Corporation Giving in 2014: $18.5-Million

Citing new data from Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, The Wall Street Journal reports on how companies from American Express to Verizon handled their corporate giving last year.  Financial, industrial, and utility firms overwhelmingly donated cash, while the communications and health-care sectors gave more in products and services.  Nearly 30 percent of funding was to education; 25 percent flowed to health and social services.
