Highmark Health, parent company of Highmark Inc., is offering support to those affected by the severe flooding that struck West Virginia last week. The company is contributing $25,000 to the West Virginia American Red Cross to support their efforts in providing food, shelter, relief supplies and other assistance. Members of Highmark Inc. insurance plans are also able to contact or visit a participating pharmacy for prescription refills off-cycle in order to accommodate their health care needs. David Holmberg, President and CEO of Highmark Health has commented that “The people of West Virginia are part of the Highmark Health family, both as employees and customers, and we are doing what families do when help is needed by lending support. The people of West Virginia are in our thoughts and prayers.”
