The UN Private Sector Forum met during UN General Assembly week last month, and a key topic of discussion was how businesses could use their investments to advance the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Grantmakers also convened there during the SDG Funders initiative, and a new mapping tool (co-developed by Global Impact, Blackbaud, Council on Foundations and Foundation Center) was announced. Global Goals Mapping uses codes from both the NTEE and ICNPO taxonomies to create a shared system designed to help grantmakers, including corporate grantmakers, to track how their giving and volunteerism are helping to meet the SDGs.
