Giving USA just released its annual report on American charitable giving, and 2015 represented America’s most generous year ever. Total giving reached $373.25 billion, primarily driven by a 3.8 percent rise in giving by individuals (as always, the largest source of charitable gifts). Corporate giving increased 3.9 percent to a total of $18.45 billion – representing 5 percent of the total.
