Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP) released the 2016 edition of its Giving in Numbers survey of 272 multi-national companies. Among the highlights: average employee volunteer participation rate rose to 33 percent, up 5 percent from 2015 levels. Measuring social and community outcomes is also on the rise: 87 percent of companies measured outcomes for at least one grant. And more than half of companies (56 percent) shared ESG (environment, social, governance) information with their investors.
