The Women and Girls Foundation has teamed up with the David Berg Center for Ethics and Leadership at the University of Pittsburgh to create the GirlGov Leadership Summer Academy to serve girls of excellence in our area who are interested in learning more about civics, activism, and their own leadership potential. The program will take place for two weeks this summer, July 8 – July 19th, on the University of Pittsburgh campus.
The GirlGov Summer Leadership Academy is a project of the Women and Girls Foundation (WGF), a non-profit organization working to break down barriers so that every girl can rise and every woman can soar. Over the last ten years, WGF has served over one thousand girls through their school-year based GirlGov program which currently serves girls in 7 counties and over 60 schools.
