The third annual Cultural Infrastructure Index has been released by AEA Consulting and reports that a total of $8 billion was spent internationally during 2018 on the construction of 148 new museums and cultural institutions. North America continues to lead the list of announced or completed projects, with both New Zealand and Australia showing increases in new projects.
