According to America’s Charities, workplace giving is on a roll. The organization’s annual Snapshot 2015 notes that volunteering and other ways of giving to the community are quickly moving from optional experiences to becoming embedded as part of workplaces’ DNA. Among the report’s recommendations: community engagement must be authentic; the company’s leadership must be actively involved; and it is critically important to align corporate goals, employees’ interests and the needs of public charities.
