Donald Goughler is now the first executive-in-residence at The Forbes Funds, thanks to funding from Jefferson Regional Foundation. Mr. Goughler took up this newly created role in July after retiring as president and CEO of Family Services of Western Pennsylvania and (prior to that) chief executive of Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Services. Over the past 25+ years, he managed some 500 employees at those two leading regional agencies. Now he works part-time, coaching and advising nonprofit executive directors facing specific strategic challenges in running their organizations. Since 1982, The Forbes Funds, a supporting organization of The Pittsburgh Foundation, has focused on strengthening the management and policy-making capacity of the nonprofit sector.
