While total charitable giving has not yet reached pre-recession levels, two new reports suggest that your nonprofit partners should have met with good fundraising results in 2014. First, the winter 2015 fundraising report from Nonprofit Research Collaborative has just been released. Nearly three-quarters of responding charities (73 percent) reported that they met their goals in 2014 – the best outcome since NRC began asking the question in 2010. In more good news, 53 percent of responding nonprofits reported growth in the dollar amount raised last year. Download the NRC report.
The Blackbaud Index tells a similar story. In Blackbaud’s Charitable Giving Report, nonprofits reported that overall giving grew more than 2 percent in 2014 – with online giving growing a robust 8.9 percent. You may view other giving trends by downloading the report here.
