Lincoln Learning Solutions is proud to partner with the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) in its worthwhile endeavor to create five new high school academies, in addition to the newly established Aviation Academy, to establish opportunities for personal growth for all students.
Over the next few years, these five high school academies will focus on providing opportunities for students in professional pathways in high-demand, high-growth occupational fields. CCBC’s plan includes offering the following academies:
- Health Sciences Academy
- Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Academy
- Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security Academy
- Performing Arts Academy
- Distance Learning Online Academy
When CCBC approached Lincoln Learning Solutions, its ultimate desire was to work with the organization to achieve its primary goal: to prepare students for unstoppable professional opportunities and, ultimately, to improve the region’s economy and quality of life.
George Pacinda, Vice President of Philanthropy at Lincoln Learning Solutions, knew he had found an organization whose mission mirrored that of Lincoln Learning. Pacinda, as well as Bob Clements, Lincoln Learning’s CEO, believed in CCBC’s long term plan to support opportunities for high school students to develop character, experience passion for hands-on learning, become acclimated to the college experience, and receive academic support that prepares them for successful and satisfying careers.
Lincoln Learning Solutions is excited and optimistic about its partnership with CCBC, and the organization looks forward to being an integral part of creating a partnership model of regional and national distinction while helping to create a future pipeline of skilled workers ready and capable of addressing high-priority workforce needs.
