As you all know, charitable giving through the corporate framework comes with its own set of unique challenges. Corporate grantmakers have multiple stakeholders to consider when making decisions about resource allocations; the corporate setting often requires quick decision-making; and more often than not, corporate giving staffs are also responsible for a larger set of activities than grantmaking, including managing employee engagement programs and the larger “corporate responsibility” agenda.  Being funded by a company also brings with it expectations that the funding area will be “strategic,” and will increase the company’s visibility.

All of GWP’s corporate members navigate these challenges daily, and we have a great storehouse of knowledge and experience available to us through this network.  We invite you to join for us for a roundtable discussion about wins and challenges in corporate philanthropy; bring recent accomplishments and current pressing challenges to the table to share with your colleagues and peers.  We hope you’ll come away from this roundtable with new ideas to incorporate in your grantmaking practices and opportunities to impact our community in the most positive ways.

Light lunch will be served and free parking will be available at the Ingot Parking Garage next to AEO’s headquarters.

Special thanks to Marcie Eberhart and American Eagle Outfitters Foundation for hosting!
