Grantmakers evaluate what and who we fund, but often forget to evaluate HOW we make grants, and whether our grantmaking practices are as effective as they can be. Practices matter. Your grantmaking practices are one of the most public—and sometimes one of the only—expressions of your organizational values that grantseekers experience.

This interactive workshop will help participants consider ways to assess their grantmaking practices using data they likely already have or can easily get.

In this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn about the types of data that grants management systems can (and do) collect (in general – not an intro to grants management systems!).
  • Review common questions that can be answered with the data you already have.
  • Develop a plan to use their data to improve practice.

What to expect: This workshop will build competencies in strategic management, technology management and knowledge management and will include instruction along with interaction and breakouts. We will be joined by members of PEAK Mid-East for this workshop.

This program will be facilitated by PEAK Grantmaking.

This session will be virtual. Connection details will be available upon registration.

Please also plan to attend this roundtable discussion to keep the conversation going with your peers:

Grant Managers Network Roundtable: Using Data to Assess Grantmaking
Wednesday, February 8, 2022
Come back together with your local GWP grants managers peer network and PEAK Mideast to share and discuss the action plan you developed during the PEAK session on Using Data to Assess Your Grantmaking Practice.

The Grants Managers Learning Network is intended for those whose role includes grants management for their organization and provides an opportunity to gather, network and learn together. The quarterly discussions include best practices, compliance, grants management software, skill building, and other emerging topics in the field.
