Off the Record with GWP: A Conversation with Marge Petruska

Join GWP for an opportunity to gain insight from one of our philanthropy community’s great assets and a true champion for Pittsburgh and its children and families.  Before her retirement at year-end, we’ve asked Marge Petruska, senior director of the Children, Youth & Families Program for The Heinz Endowments, to join us for a very special Off the Record with GWP. Our program will be moderated by Bob Nelkin, President and CEO of United Way of Southwestern PA.

Hear from Marge about her work, including her efforts around building a statewide early learning system that prepares children for kindergarten and future school success; increasing learning opportunities for adolescents during non-school hours to nurture their development; and providing support to families and caregivers in improving the emotional, economic and social well-being of children.  She’ll also share with us her reflections on the progress and change she’s seen in Pittsburgh, as well as within the field of philanthropy.

We will conclude our program with a festive holiday reception during which we will share a celebratory toast wishing GWP members the happiest of holidays, and wishing Marge, our valued colleague, well in her retirement!
