Join GWP for an update on Pittsburgh Public Schools as Executive Director of the Grable Foundation, Gregg Behr, leads a candid conversation with Superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools, Dr. Linda Lane.
Gregg and Dr. Lane will explore the progress and challenges of the district’s primary goals of
- accelerating student achievement by ensuring teacher effectiveness,
- eliminating racial disparities by focusing on a culturally relevant curriculum and staff training,
- creating positive school and district culture by ensuring that students are able to take advantage of The Pittsburgh Promise, and
- fostering innovation so that PPS can attract and retain the best students and teachers and become a district of first-choice.
There will be ample time for questions and discussion, so please come with your questions. As an added bonus, we will be treated to an exclusive preview of an excerpt from the Pittsburgh CAPA all school performance of Aida, which is slated to open the following night!
