This event has been postponed. We'll announce the rescheduled date soon. We invite you to an in-person networking meeting of the Jewish Funders Network. It’s been a while since we’ve had the opportunity to meet in-person, so we hope you’ll join us to catch up over coffee. This will be an informal opportunity to reconnect and strengthen the network. We’ll have time to update the group on what everyone is working on and identify some opportunities for learning and working together in the coming year.
About the Network:
The Jewish Funders Learning Network is convened by Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania and the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. It is chaired by Ilene Rinn (Planning Director, the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh), Josh Donner (Executive Director, the Shapira Foundation) and Judith Hansen O'Toole (Executive Director, the Fine Foundation). The group aims to meet quarterly, alternating locations and virtual learning sessions.
Who should attend:
This is for people who would find value from being a part of the group. You do not need to be Jewish yourself, or fund only/primarily Jewish causes. This is for people giving away their own money as well as philanthropy professionals. This is not for professional fundraisers or people who run or represent Jewish causes who are looking for funding. This is a no-solicitation space.
Coffee and light refreshments will be served. As long as Covid case levels in Allegheny county remain either in "low" or "medium" levels, we will meet in-person. If the county levels rise to "high" we will transition to a virtual roundtable.
As we transition to hosting more in-person meetings, Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania (GWP) is dedicated to ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all participants, staff, and speakers. GWP will host in-person member meetings as requested if COVID-19 Community Levels at the time and location of the event are categorized as “low” or "medium". We will continue to monitor the status of the COVID-19 pandemic in our region and adapt our health and safety practices according to local ordinances and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, including:
- Implementing mask requirements or recommendations per local ordinances and/or national guidelines based on COVID-19 Community Levels at the time of the event.
- Working to optimize the safety of our attendees. Our safety guidelines will be articulated as part of each meeting registration. Reminders of our practices, including any updates or changes, will be communicated to registered participants as events approach.
We are committed to making GWP events accessible to all members. If you have questions, or if an accommodation would be helpful to fully participate, please reach out to Paula or call 412-471-6488 and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
