Hate crime violence has recently hit a 16 year high. And today like never before, violent extremists of all kinds are deliberately targeting the young and vulnerable with poisonous propaganda—especially in cyberspace, where they are flooding social media with slick recruiting videos and persuasive calls to action.

Join us for this session during which FBI field agents will share information on what known violent extremist groups exist – in our region and beyond, who violent extremists most effect, how violent extremists make contact, why people become violent extremists, and how and where to get help.

This will be a brown bag session, so please feel free to bring your lunch. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

Note: This session is part of a series of deep-dive programs developed with the FBI’s Pittsburgh Field Office exclusively for GWP members. Save the date for the final session in the series:

Thursday, May 7: What Funders Need to Know about Healthcare Fraud (This session has been postponed until further notice as well.)

We are committed to making GWP programs accessible to all members. If you have questions about the venue, or if an accommodation would be helpful to fully participate in this program, please reach out to Paula or call 412-471-6488 and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
