Grantmakers of Western Pennsylvania and the Buhl Foundation invite you to learn more about the One Northside plan.  This session will entail a driving tour of the 18 neighborhoods of the Northside followed by a panel discussion surrounding the planning and implementation phases.  The tour will take you through Northside neighborhoods where you will see first-hand the many assets and attributes, as well as the challenges and opportunities, of the Northside.  Following the tour, join us for a panel discussion at Arnold's Tea.  Moderated by Fred Thieman, panelists will include:

  • Lisa Freeman, Northside Resident, Census Taker and Homelessness Team Leader
  • Deb Caplan, Vice President, Allegheny General Hospital and Team Leader for Workforce Readiness and Convening,
  • Traci Jackson, Jackson Clark Partner and One Northside Facilitator
  • Diana Bucco, Vice President, The Buhl Foundation

After the panel discussion, we hope you will stay on with us to enjoy some of the culture of the Northside with dinner at the Teutonia Männerchor followed by a visit to the nearby Elks Lodge to hear the Pittsburgh Banjo Club!

Agenda:
