The recent arrival of chilly fall air has reminded us that winter is on its way. GWP thought it would be nice to get our members out of the office while we still have the chance. Grab your bike and join us as GTECH Strategies graciously leads our members on a green bike tour!

The bike tour will lead riders to creative green spaces that were formerly vacant urban eyesores. Along the mostly flat, 7-mile ride, participants will stop at a series of community-based green spaces and hear a narrative about its transformation, what types of activities took place, who was involved and how each project affected the development of that particular neighborhood. It’s a great way to connect with the community members that make these projects possible, plus you may visit a neighborhood that you’ve never been to before!

This is a no drop ride, which means there will be volunteer guides to make sure that the group stays together. The ride is open to all skill levels. Check out the entire route here.

We will begin at GTECH Strategies at 6587 Hamilton Avenue (parking is available) and end with at the Union Pig and Chicken for a well-deserved drink and an opportunity to further discuss the visited sites. GWP will host the first round – plan to join us!
