Join us as Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto and Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald provide a briefing especially for GWP members.

Collaboration between our elected officials and their teams is more critical now than ever before. At a time when our region is poised to make great strides in equitable community and economic development, infrastructure, and innovation projects, it’s important that our political leadership works together and presents a united front to tackle these major issues.

In a conversation moderated by Sam Reiman, associate director of the Richard King Mellon Foundation and president of GWP’s board, the Mayor and County Executive will brief GWP members on current collaborative efforts already underway.  They will also describe their plans for the region; the challenges they face; and the new opportunities they see.

This program is open to all GWP members and provides the opportunity to learn about the Mayor’s agenda for the city, the County Executive’s agenda for the county, and how they are moving forward together on a single agenda.  It also provides a chance to discuss how the philanthropic community can better collaborate with the city and county to make our region healthy, prosperous and vibrant for all its inhabitants.

Following the update from the Mayor and County Executive, we hope you will stay on for a networking reception from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.

Please register by noon on Monday, January 23rd.
