Recent reports indicate that the number of Allegheny County residents dying of opioid overdoses is rising again, after a drop of 40% in 2018 had health experts hopeful that the tide of the epidemic was turning.
Join GWP for an update from local experts. During this session, our panel will share data and information which will:
- Describe the current landscape of addiction, opioid use, overdoses, and treatment in our region.
- Discuss how the crises of Covid-19 and pervasive racism effect issues related to opioid use and addiction.
- Express what the current and most pressing needs are and where they believe funder investments can have the most impact.
