Dr. Qadeer has over 10 years of experience in Hospitalist Medicine, with special interest in quality and operations.  In addition to serving as Chief Medical Officer at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH), Dr. Qadeer is the Medical Director of AGH Observation Services, Lead Physician Advisor, and Chief Quality Officer for the Medicine Institute. Dr. Qadeer has led improvement of AGH and AHN overall quality and safety ratings that have resulted in significant improvement in CMS STAR ratings and national quality surveys.

Dr. Qadeer has helped lead the AHN Western Pennsylvania vaccination drive, helped administered over 350,000 doses in the region and made sure the vaccine distribution was fast, equitable, and targeted to high risk patients. Partnering with Pittsburgh Pirates, hosted the regions first mass vaccination clinic in February, and the area's largest public vaccination events of any kind since the U.S. smallpox vaccinations of the 1950s. Dr. Qadeer is now focused on reducing vaccine hesitancy by partnering with our community-based organizations to help disseminate information about the safety of the vaccine and to help build trust among community members who have traditionally lacked trust in the health care system.
