What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is connecting with and helping members. I love to learn from our members on how they are supporting and creating change in our region. It helps me feel connected to what is happening in my community and also that I play a small part. I also really enjoy learning alongside members during the programs.
When did you start work at GWP?
February 26, 2018
Career background/education?
I have a BA in Technical Theater/Set Design from Point Park University. After graduating, I spent my time designing for local theater companies while also working as the production manager for an event florist. I then moved into the non-profit world and for 14 years was an Event Coordinator at the RAND Corporation.
What do you love about where you live?
I love city living because I can access all of the great museums, restaurants and parks in a matter of minutes.
What do you do outside of work?
I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy going to the library, the park, and museums. We are often found at the many pop-up artist markets around the city. I also love to cook and enjoy finding new fun recipes to try. Another hobby I have is collecting crafting supplies, maybe one day I will create something with them! I am a member and past board member with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and enjoy volunteering with my children's school and activities.
Favorite brand or flavor of ice cream?
When my family vacations at the beach in Delaware, we go to Kohr’s Bros and get our fill of custard almost every day we are there, and most often choose the orange and vanilla twist.
